Image via atrl.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(This post will include spoilers about the two seasons.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Person of Interest<\/strong> did a good job of ending with a nice cliffhanger before its midseason break. While helping their last \u201cnumber\u201d and her boyfriend, Reese (<strong>Jim Caviezel<\/strong>) couldn\u2019t get out before the FBI arrived. Special Agent Donnelly (Brennan Brown) finally cornered \u201cthe man in suit\u201d, despite Carter (<strong>Taraji P. Henson<\/strong>)\u2019s best efforts. Luckily for Reese, 3 other men in suits (hired guns of the man after the \u201cnumber\u201d) were also trapped.<\/p>\n<p>2&#215;11 has become my favorite episodes of the series as it is a fresh, sad, exciting and entertaining episodes. It outdid my expectations, because I certainly didn\u2019t expect it to be so smooth, Reese being locked up and not being able to kick ass and intimidate people. Or using his sense of humor. Image via rickey.org<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the episode Reese is in prison, along with the other suspects and Donnelly will keep them there until one of the man\u2019s DNA matches the one they have.<\/p>\n<p>Finch\u2019s (<strong>Michael Emerson<\/strong>) \u201cnumber\u201d is a high school student (Luke Kleintank) who\u2019s doing average on purpose, and Finch is dealing with the case in the \u201cfield\u201d, having filled in as a substitute teacher.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/person-of-interest-returned-with-a-bang-poi-2x11-2-pi-r-episode-review\/2pir-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9168\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9168\" alt=\"2&quot;pi&quot;r, person of interest\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/rsz_person-of-interest-season-2-episode-11-8.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>2&#215;11 does several things differently, and that\u2019s why it works:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>-Fusco (Kevin Chapman) doesn\u2019t grunt or complain. Or he isn\u2019t cornered or threatened by HR. He helps out, and seems genuinely interested in solving the case.<\/p>\n<p>-Finch finds that he has more in common with the kid then he thought, but how the kid\u2019s mind works and his motives often surprise him. And while the kid can\u2019t outsmart Finch, he is pretty up there in the IQ department, but does some pretty weird things.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9165\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9165\" style=\"width: 366px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/person-of-interest-returned-with-a-bang-poi-2x11-2-pi-r-episode-review\/2pir\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9165\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9165\" title=\"person of interest-taraji p. henson\" alt=\"person of interest-taraji p. henson\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Person-of-Interest-Season-2-Episode-11-12.jpg?resize=366%2C500\" width=\"366\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9165\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Taraji P. Image via tvequals.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8211; Carter gets badass (stealing from the FBI) to save Reese, but before she can get badass, she gets her flirt on-so that she can get what she needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, I am no longer an addict of the show.\u00a0 The beginning of <a title=\"Review for Person of Interest, first season\" href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/person-of-interest-starring-jim-caviezel-michael-emerson\/\" target=\"_blank\">first season<\/a> was top-notch entertainment with Reese\u2019s over-the-top methods with getting rid of\/catching criminals. He kicked more ass, used bigger weapons and often freaked Finch out. But somehow Reese got milder, and it kind of killed the excitement for me a little bit. There were some good developments and changes in character\u00a0 dynamics (Reese and Finch getting closer, Carter finding out, Fusco and Carter working together), but the storylines stopped being that compelling somewhere in the middle.<\/p>\n<p>But then 2&#215;11 came, and we saw that when everyone ups their game, the show can maintain its level of audience engagement, even without Reese.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s see what 2&#215;12 will bring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> I still want Reese back in his (early season 1) former glory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.P.S.<\/strong> Thanks to the writers for making Pi seem more interesting than our math teachers ever could.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; (This post will include spoilers about the two seasons.)
