Ron Clark (Matthew Perry<\/a>) is a school teacher who just relocated to New York City. He consciously chooses a school in Harlem to make a difference. However his new students prove to be more than he bargained for: they are rebellious, disrespectful, lazy and worst of all; they hate him at first sight.<\/p>\n

Ron does his best trying to teach them respect and consideration, as well as school topics but he fails on all accounts. But when he is about to quit, he is encouraged by his aspiring actress friend\/crush and decides to fight the kids with unusual yet intriguing methods.<\/p>\n

These methods eventually help him to win over his students, the headmaster (Judith Buchan) as well as the parents.<\/p>\n

The Ron Clark Story is a TV drama from 2006, starring Matthew Perry<\/a>. I stumbled upon it on TV last weekend, about 15 minutes after it started. As typical as the storyline is, it is a very enjoyable, warm-hearted film and it is not a bad thing to spend time on if you like Matthew Perry.<\/p>\n

While we saw many movies about the ambitious\/caring teacher vs. the nightmare students with potential, this is actually a true story. Plus, some of Matthew\u2019s coping methods are really fun \u2013 such as the chocolate milk\/vomit challenge as well as the history lesson in rap.<\/p>\n

Recommended only if you are in the mood for something very familiar. You can read more about the real Ron Clark on wikipedia<\/a>. 7.5. on IMDB.<\/p>\n
