Image via screenrant.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Plot<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eddie Morra (<a title=\"Review of horror\/thriller Case 39 starring Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper.\" href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/case-39-starring-renee-zellweger-bradley-cooper-ian-mcshane-and-jodelle-ferland\/\">Bradley Cooper<\/a>) is your average, messy and not-so-lucrative writer \u2013 until he starts taking a pill. This pill gives him the chance to become the best version of himself \u2013 he becomes ultra productive, stylish, attractive, smart and successful.<\/p>\n<p>But of course things can\u2019t go on so well forever and soon Eddie is the target of hitmen and he also has to deal with drawbacks such as short-term memory loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reasons to see it<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I love a good thriller and I really liked the story idea. It is based Alan Glynn\u2019s 2002 book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000HWYNDG?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=pinartarhanco-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000HWYNDG\">The Dark Fields<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=pinartarhanco-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000HWYNDG\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It was adapted to screen by Lexie Dixon- who has written some of my favorite movies \u2013 The Thomas Crown Affair (1999 version starring <a href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/must-see-pierce-brosnan-movies-feat-butterfly-on-a-wheel-remember-me-seraphim-falls-more\/\">Pierce Brosnan<\/a>), <a href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/6-good-movies-with-brilliant-casts\/\">Hairspray<\/a> (2007 version with John Travolta), Pay It Forward (a lovely Kevin Spacey effort that features Jon Bon Jovi as a violent husband), Just Like Heaven (starring Mark Ruffalo &amp; Reese Witherspoon)&#8230;.I just realized I have seen a lot of her work \u2013 she should get her own individual post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Cast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I am a writer so I am just drawn to stories about writers. The part in the trailer where he finishes a novel in 4 days&#8230;.Ah, the dream&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Director: Neil Burger. He directed the lovely drama The Lucky Ones starring Tim Robbins and Rachel McAdams, as well as one of my favorite <a href=\"http:\/\/factoidz.com\/edward-norton-trivia-facts-about-american-history-x-and-fight-club-actor-edward-norton\/\">Edward Norton<\/a> movies- <a href=\"http:\/\/pinartarhan.com\/blog\/the-illusionist-with-edward-norton-and-jessica-biel\/\">The Illusionist<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>After seeing the movie: LOVED IT!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before deciding whether you\u2019ll like this movie or not, just remember:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I am a writer. So:<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I wish I had a magic pill that would make me smarter, more productive and creator so that I could do everything I wanted to do with my writing and my life. I also wouldn\u2019t mind the extra shot of skills that would make me richer. Yes, it is a fantasy and I\u2019d never take a drug to accomplish this. But I joined Limitless for the ride, and lived the fantasy (and the nightmare), without suffering any side effects myself.<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019d have loved to have written a story like Limitless.<\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I like Bradley Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Robert De Niro\u2019s name does make me want to check out the movie.<\/p>\n<p>6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I think Abbie Cornish is my generation\u2019s Charlize Theron.<\/p>\n<p>7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I love entertaining thrillers!<\/p>\n<p>8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I expected to have fun watching this movie, and I had a blast.
