The moment I heard Jungle Drum,<\/a> I was hooked. If you haven\u2019t heard this catchy and lively tune yet, I dare you to go to you tube, and write emiliana torrini jungle drum and check the song out. It is fun and it makes me dance. So naturally, I wanted to get a hold of the other songs as well. If they were nearly as fun, I\u2019d be in for a real treat. Don\u2019t get me wrong, the album isn\u2019t bad. It is just not my cup of tea. And there are no other songs like Jungle Drum in the album. Gun is OK and so is Fireheads. But if I am going to be tempted by quality pop beats, it either has the rock element like Roxette<\/a> songs or it should have the irresistibly upbeat and addictive nature of Jungle Drum.<\/p>\n

Most of the songs are too slow and a little too monotonous for my taste. The beats are too repetitive. Sure, if you like that particular beat, it is cool. If you don\u2019t, the song ends up being boring or annoying.<\/p>\n

It is more like a headache album. I am not saying it gives you a headache. It should be listened to when you have a headache. Slow. Relaxing. Comforting. It is also a good album for meditating. But of course you have just read the review of an avid rock fan who complains when Bon Jovi gets too \u00a0many \u201cromantic\u201d\u00a0 songs in the albums. Also, my favorite Guns’ N Roses <\/a>song is Paradise City. Not Don\u2019t Cry, not Patience or November Rain. In fact Patience is what I call a headache song.<\/p>\n

But\u2026it doesn\u2019t look like I\u2019ll be getting bored of Jungle Drum anytime soon. In fact, I am just turning it on to dance. See you at my other posts!<\/p>\n
