6 Hollywood Stars That Would Make 20-Year-Olds Jealous

Looking younger rocks. A close friend of mine hadn’t enjoyed this when he looked 19 (when he really was 27) and was asked for his ID all the time at the entrance of clubs. He is happy that he is not getting ID-ed any more but he still barely looks over 22 at his 30s and he is absolutely loving it.

Of course sometimes there is surgery but some Hollywood stars have made a habit of leaving healthier life styles, working out and looking even better and fitter than their early age. This is good news because they keep getting lead roles and even when they are cast as parents, they have enough scenes to show that they rock. What can I say? For some lucky stars, 40s are the new 30s.

Marisa Tomei

Born in 1964.

Marisa Tomei in The Wrestler
Marisa Tomei plays a stripper in The Wrestler. Mel Gibson should have gone for her in What Women Want, not Helen Hunt.

Yeah, Marisa can pull it off. She is pretty, young and just lovely in every role. She has a lot of leading roles but even when she is the supporting actress, it is always a pleasure to watch her. You can check her out in What Women Want and Someone Like You.

Terry Hatcher

Born in 1964.

Teri Hatcher is the sexiest Desperate Housewife
Teri Hatcher is the sexiest Desperate Housewife.

In one of the episodes, Susan (Thatcher)’ s husband Mike (James Denton) gets a plumbing gig in a strip club. When Susan argues that he can’t go, Mike rebels and he claims it is an innocent act and she can’t forbid him. Of course being Susan, she finds a great way to make her point. The next time Mike has a job there, he finds Susan on the stage, stripping. She rocked! Boys, think again before going to a strip club. Because we’ve got a great way to prove our point!

I do have Thatcher’s book Burnt Toast. After all, who better to talk about being fit, healthy and making it in Hollywood?

Timothy Olyphant

1968

Timothy Olyphant as Fritz in Catch and Release. He is 38 in the picture.

I already did a full post on Tim. You can find all about him here.

Hugh Jackman

1968

Hugh Jackman
Hugh sure works out a lot. But being an Australian, surfing must help a lot. Long live, Wolverine!

Have you seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine? If you haven’t, you are missing out on a great action flick. And boys, if you are interested in building solid muscles, I’d suggest buying Men’s Health magazine with Hugh on the cover. In the long run, it really would make you happier than Maxim or Playboy. ; )

Gerard Butler

1969

Gerard Butler in Law Abiding Citizen
Gerard Butler in Law Abiding Citizen. He knows he looks good. But so far, his ego doesn't seem to be in proportion with his muscles. Thankfully.

There’s not much to say, except: This guy rocks. He totally blew it for other guys, as Conan O’ Brien puts in one interview. Oh well, I’ll just link to my review of the Gamer featuring the trailer. Yeah, he kicks ass. A lot.

Justin Chambers

1970

Justn Chambers of Grey's Anatomy
Justin Chamber plays Alex Karev in Grey's Anatomy. His character keeps going from jackass to passionate lover, and then back to wiseass again. He also looks younger than the interns the hospital gets each season.

Grey’s Anatomy’s Alex and former model Justin Chambers will be 40 in July, but I feel bad about forgetting about him in my 6 Celebrities That Aged Really Well post. Wow. As much as 7 ( now 8) kids have caused Mel Gibson to mature too soon, it seems like Justin’s 5 kids are serving as a youth fountain. Yes, he has 5.

Bizarre Celebrity Couplings: Marilyn Manson and His Girlfriends

Rose McGowan  &  Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson and Rose McGowan.
Marilyn Manson and ex-girlfriend Rose McGowan.

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that they broke up ages ago. But it doesn’t change the fact that they looked odd together, more like The Beauty and The Beast. Don’t get me wrong. I respect Manson to a certain extent. His image may not be my cup of tea but at least he is honest. Have you seen Michael Moore’s Bowling for Colombine? There, Manson says that he is doing whatever he does to attract attention. How many celebrities do that? But his honesty aside, there is a strong ick factor. No, it is not (just) the make-up! I actually heard that he had a surgical operation to have some bones removed so that he could give himself a blow-job! YUCKS!!! I really hope that’s some bogus news generated by his publicist. Otherwise it is just too much.

It is interesting that his girlfriends are beautiful actresses. I know rockers are known to pick up hot chicks but Manson isn’t your idea of a hot rocker, is he? We are moving on another Manson coupling:

And the moral is pick up the guitar and girls will come regardless of your make-up and style? I know musicians tended to look pretty funny through out the history- just look at the fashion in every decade. And I have to admit, it is not like I never liked a band with make-up. I still like Kiss. I own Twisted Sister albums. Hell, I saw Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora with lipstick back in the day! Still, does this look like a match made in heaven?

Allure of the Older Guy: Pierce Brosnan, Keanu Reeves, Andrew McCarthy and Andy Garcia

Don’t panic. I don’t mean older as in old. I have tendency to be attracted to good-looking men in their thirties  and sometimes 40s even ( Banderas, Reeves,Bonjovi…40s are the new 30s, lookswise and lifestyles).(mind you, I am in my mid-20s). And I have to admit I still fail to see Brosnan as too old. A couple of years ago, in his mid 50s he still looked great. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Pierce
Pierce Brosnan. I love this guy. He just looks freakin' gorgeous. He plays Robert Pattinson's father in Remember Me? You take the son and I'll take Pierce. Deal?

Pierce Brosnan is in his 50s. He looks much better than he did in his 30s. Of course I am talking about certain type. Fun, funny, confident, modest, not afraid to kick as and a true romantic at heart. I hate the word old-fashioned, yet when it comes to romance, the guy who can pull it off, just scores big on the sexiness chart. But the thing is it has to be passionate and heart-felt and in no way pretentious.

keanu at 44,Street Kings
Keanu at 44 in Street Kings. Great movie, good acting and...He looks so ugly, doesn't he?;)

Andrew Mccarthy plays this billionaire in Lipstick Jungle where he sends cars and jets and pulls out all the stunts, to take her to a date. He can afford it and he enjoys it. But here is the thing, attraction kicks money’s ass. For me,at least. So trust me I pick a gorgeous yet struggling 25 year old over the old and unattractive guy any time. But here is the thing: this character Andrew is playing- is cool.

Andrew McCarthy as Joe Bennet, Lipstick jungle
Andrew McCarthy as Joe Bennet, Lipstick jungle. Shame the show had only 2 seasons. It was a lot of fun to watch and Andrew had that charm that almost reminded me of Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.

Charismatic. Funny. And pretty cute. He does look good in his suit—and I happen to label suits as turn offs so many times! So it is the jokes and the voice and the smile and, get ready- he is there for the girl. Bingo!!! Ad trust me I have seen Andrew in movies where he was 20 something and he was not half as attractive.
My friend couldn’t have been more indifferent to Andy Garcia (not his acting she was just not into his looks), yet after watching one particular movie- she would’t mind kissing the character he was portraying. He is what? 39 in that movie? An ex gangster with a conscience? Suits and no jeans?

Andy at 39, ten things to do in denver when you are dead
Andy Garcia. Smooth. Very smooth. In case you are wondering, it is a really neat film.

Andy Garcia, ten things to do in denver when you are dead

But then the way he picked the girl he became besotted with…He might have said some cheesy stuff but it is the voice, and the way he looks at girl, how he means what he says: that he may not be able to take her breath away, but he will try. Honesty, charm and more charm. Not to mention sincere and funny. She was so intrigued, she agreed on a date despite having a boyfriend. The date was so fun and romantic, she invited him in afterwards. Don’t get me started on the way he kisses…. Oh, did I mention I am more into tall,well-built dark blondes who wear jeans and plain t-shirts and have long or longish hair? But what wins me in the end is a good kisser. A good kisser is the one who makes you want more. Who doesn’t push your limits and follows your lead instead. Who knows that the more you like someone, the more passionate the sex gets and it just becomes more fun and more satisfying for both. He can kiss her cheek or forehead or the eye yet you can feel that the girl is already wanting him- and she is getting high just because of a kiss!!!!! The word we use is devour…Oh boy!!! He devours her, and puts his whole being into a kiss…and she ends up craving him more than anything or anyone else…

So, excuse me but I like sense of fun coming with maturity. Just like i want romance and fun at the same time. So basically, I am screwed. I have a feeling that these combinations exist only in movies…Oh well, doesn’t stop me from wanting it….
