Can we make money without spending money?

I am a freelancer.Or at least I have set out to be one.I got some translation gigs, which earned me little but earned me some new contacts and brightened up my resumé.Do I want to be a freelance translator? No! I am a Business and Advertising major who is aspiring to get a master’s degree in creative writing/screenwriting and/or film-making.So I love writing.I write fiction most of the time and I absolutely adore creating stuff from scratch. I am definitely not a realist so there’s no way I want to end up having an office job. I recently had one,and I hated it. And unless you are offering me to work for Cosmo or Vanity Fair or Empire, I don’t want one. Even then,I don’t want to be stuck with a desk and a permanent office location.
Oh sure,a nice studio flat which I’ll use both as an office and a flat would be great. And I’ll get me one of those, eventually. But now I’m 25 years old (24 when 25 sounds too depressing) and I haven’t even started to get in line for millions of rejection letters. You want to get me to the title? Here we go…

Even if one site costs 5 $/ month, can you afford it? Remember there are many magazines whose you probably pay for the issues (research, remember? ), books and….oh,you have your regular social needs and heaven forbid what if you want to travel and see the world? It is disappointing to notice that the site that seems most useful comes with a price tag…
